A Dragon Is My Friend

A dragon is my friend. I didn't find them, nor did they find me. We found each other by the strings of destiny.

A Dragon Is My Friend is a singleplayer, print-and-play tabletop game about taking care of an injured dragon for 7 days, where many activities (and disasters) could happen during the day. It all depends on what dice rolls you get!

What You Need To Play

- The rulebook
- A 6-sided die
- A 20-sided die
- Pen and paper (Or somewhere you can write your "diary" easily, like a writing app on your phone)

- (Optional) You can edit and print the files DragonBase.psd and PlayerBase.psd to decorate a bit the place you'll use to play!

The Game Itself

On the first day, you will decide who you are, what the dragon is like, and how both of you first met. Did some adventurers try to attack the dragon, only for you to scare them away? Did you find the dragon trying to hide in the forest you reside in? Did the dragon find you?

ADIMF works a session a day, for 7 days (or you can play the 7 in-game days in a single session---it's up to you!). Every day, you will have to make 3 dice rolls: The first one is to see the topic related to that day's event; the second, to see what exactly happened that day; and the third, to see what kind of result did the event have.

After these rolls, it's up to you to imagine and write in your "diary" what happened that day based on the previous rolls. You're free to write as much or as little as you'd like.

On the seventh day, the dragon's injuries will have healed off, and it will be time to say goodbye to them.
