I Don't Speak French, But They Do!

My puppet is trying to tell me something... and I can kinda understand them!

I Don't Speak French, But They Do! is a solo, one-page TTRPG based around ventriloquism humour.

This game has two types of rulebooks, both with the same content: One is digital, and the other is print friendly (in black and white).

What You Need To Play

- The rulebook (it fits in a single A4 paper sheet; there's also an optional helper, but they're not needed to play!)

- Pen and paper (or something you can write or draw on overall)

The Game Itself

In I Don't Speak French, But They Do! you write up dialogues between you and a puppet. However, there's a tiny detail: your puppet doesn't speak the same language as you.

You don't need to know two or more languages to play this though! Feel free to make them speak gibberish, a made-up language or onomatopeias. What matters more than the dialogue itself is how the puppet portrays their words. Do they draw emotes and doodles while talking to you? Do they write with strength, brute force, great speeds or are they calm enough to write slowly and clearly? Non-verbal language is key here to understand your puppet!
