Chat, The Race's About To Start!
A downloadable game
No, chat, we told you; we won't make the car explode. Chat, please--stop.
Chat, The Race's About To Start! is a duet, one-page TTRPG about taking the role of two silly racing live-streamers in the process of fixing their badly damaged car before an important race begins.
What You Need To Play
- The rulebook
- A 20-sided die
- A coin
- A timer (Or something to count time down)
- (OPTIONAL) A Twitch chat :)
The Game Itself
In the game, you take the role of two characters: McSmith, an old and renowned streamer/pilot; and his lizard friend/copilot, Gard! Both have different personalities and ways of playing (McSmith rolls a die, while Gard flips a coin).
You have 40 real-life minutes to fix the car. While turns may be short by just doing the actions alone, this time is given so you can improvise the story and dialogue along with your partner!
Everytime Gard flips a coin and gets Heads as a result though... Disasters will unleash. Disasters are events that happen randomly everytime Heads appear. They can be either positive or negative, depending on number.
If you have a decent Twitch following, you may also play this with your spectators, and they will be the ones deciding which disaster will happen between 3 random options from the Disasters pool!
